Elemental Roar

What keeps your tired legs going during long arduous trekking? For me, it's often the rumble of the distant waterfalls. It gives me hope, a beacon of hope that thrusts my poor legs forward for the mere sight of  the waterfall, to revel in it's thundering beauty, to have it's cool water sprayed on my aching body and rejuvenate my soul...

 Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur is situated on a hilltop.We found his majesty embarked on the crimson throne, surveying his kingdom from atop the hill. Unlike the lesser mortals of his clan, he never accepted random pop corns or groundnuts from arbit strangers.

King of Good Times

Kingfishers are friendly birds. They are neither scared by humans, nor by crows who generally bully the rest of bird community.This one actually posed for my pics. It tilted it's head and looked at me through it's gleaming eyes.

A Bird's Eye View

I decided to venture upon this blog after I got my first camera, Panasonic TZ4. It was in fact a wedding gift from my dear friends. It was also the time when I got hooked on to bird watching. I usually look out for the birds that visit the backyard of my home.
There is this vast field filled with paddy, plantain, tapioca, jackfruit and nutmeg trees behind my home which belongs to a convent and it is the favourite rendezvous of a variety of birds. And as soon as I spot a birdie, I immediately check it out in my 'Book of Indian Birds'. I don't intend to restrict myself to bird photography and hence I will click whatever suit my whims and fancies and post it here.

PS: I have spotted koel, bulbul, king fisher, barbet, racket tailed drongo(kakka thampuratti), indian tree-pie(olennali), robin, eurasian golden oriole, woodpecker, shikra, bee-eater, waterhen(kulakozhi) in my backyard.
